Let's hug it out. Or not.

It's Friday, and my parents are in town!  I'm so excited!  We have made many really fabulous friends here, but none of them can replace my actual family... the people that have known me since the day I was born.  They were there when I tried out for cheerleading in 7th grade, and they were there the day I graduated college a semester early.

In other words, they've seen me at my best times, and at my not-so-best times. But, funny enough, they still like me!

Oh, and they're not big huggers either.

Random fact about me: I'm not a fan of hugs.  If you hug me, I'll hug you back, but I'll also turn it into a side hug so fast you won't even know what hit you.  This complex with hugging may have some slight relation to my siblings & me being forced to "hug it out" as kids.  When we'd get in arguments with each other, sometimes we had to stand on opposite corners of the room & walk towards each other and hug.  Once we hugged, we could carry on.

Boy, it could take us an hour to walk across a 15 foot room!

So that's my story & I'm sticking to it.

Huh?

I have no idea.

Have a great Friday & a fabulous weekend!

I have a family full of huggers and kissers...it's a cultural thing My husband found it a bit overwhelming when he had to kiss and hug stranger after stranger at a family wedding. I laughed at the idea of your parents making you and your siblings "hug it out"...no wonder you're not a hugger!
