33 & change.

I know I say this every week, but really?  33 weeks?  Where has the time gone?  The first trimester went sooo slow, and the 2nd went pretty fast, but the 3rd?  Zoom!  It doesn't help that this is the busiest time of year for Josh & I.  He has the preparations for Christmas Eve services at church, and I have my marketing job (hello, December sales at the mall!), & photography (Christmas cards, anyone?).

So what does a couple do when they've already got a jam-packed schedule?  They decide to move into a bigger apartment, of course!

Well, it wasn't quite like that.  Our current apartment gave us some unexpected pricing on our month-to-month lease-- $100 more per month than what they had originally said.  So during the few days that we had to wait to see if they would work with us or not, we found a much larger apartment in a more central location that was the same price that our old complex was wanting.

Long story short, our current complex agreed to work with us... some.  But at that point, the extra cost in the new apartment just seemed worth it.  So after seeking a lot of wise counsel (seriously, we asked everyone!), we decided to move to the larger apartment.

The perks?  Completely renovated inside & out.  400 square feet more.  The biggest closet I've ever seen in an apartment! Vaulted ceilings.  A 3rd bedroom.  More central location.

The downside?  More money.  It's do-able, but will cut into our savings for a house.  And it's on the 3rd floor.

It was the only non-ground level apartment available that would be finished with renovations by the time the baby is born.  But we decided that the extra space will truly be worth the extra costs, and hey- an extra flight of stairs means more exercise!

In other news, I'm fairly certain that Hazel spent the better part of last week laying sideways in my tummy, which was incredibly uncomfortable!  She's started to move more vertical now, thankfully!  And according to the doctor, I'm measuring right on track for growth, so we're looking at a 7-8 pound little girl!
