But there's one problem. We haven't been able to make it the whole 5 miles without an squabbling. Sure, this was only our 3rd week, but fighting is no fun, so we had to figure out a way to make it stop.
So this morning, we came up with a code word. As soon as one of us started to realize a fight starting, we said, "Yellow."
1) It breaks up the flow of conversation.
2) It can stop a convo before it goes too far downhill (into a disagreement).
3) It's kinda funny.
And you know what? It worked! Before we even hit 1/2 a mile, Josh had to call out 'yellow.' I never even saw it coming but once he said 'yellow,' I realized why he said it.
We decided to keep it going throughout the day, and it's pretty magical!
How do you keep arguments from happening with the ones you love?

As a yellow person, I'm all for that color.
I'm going to try that with my boyfriend.
