| Hi Everyone,
I have a big FAVOR to ask.
The summer of '09 is quickly coming to an end and that means fall will be here before we know it. If this fall is anything like last fall, it's going to be a bit crowded at church.
And thus my request.
It would be a BIG help if we could shift a thousand people from the 11:00 a.m. worship service to the 12:45 p.m. service for the month of AUGUST. Not forever. Just for the FIVE Sundays in August.
So, what about it? If you try the 12:45 service and discover that it works for you, you are welcome to stay. If not, when September rolls around, you can join us again at 11:00 a.m.
If you have kids who are plugged in to UpStreet or Xtreme at 11:00 a.m., we want you to stay put. Chances are you would have a minor revolution on your hands if you tried to pry your kids out of their small groups. So you get a pass this time.
If you've never attended the 12:45 service at North Point, here are a few things you should know that might help you with your decision: - It's easier to park and find a good seat.
- We serve a catered lunch.
- We redistribute the offering collected at the first two services.
- Bono drops by occasionally to lead worship.
To be honest, we don't serve lunch.
For those of you who have the flexibility in August and choose to try the 12:45 service, I appreciate it. So will dozens of people who come to North Point for the first time this fall.
I hope you enjoy the final days of summer.
