UPDATE: As of March 5, Jewel was diagnosed with a fractured tibia in both legs while training and will have to withdraw from the competition.
I have loved Jewel since the 5th or 6th grade-- right around the same time I discovered the Spice Girls.
My first concert was Jewel. April 2004-- she was in Asheville, NC doing an acoustic concert in a smaller venue. My mom took my sister and me. We got T-Shirts and everything.
*tear* and now she won't be on DWTS! That was one main reason I was going to watch this year! The other reason is to see Shawn Johnson. And I just realized that Chuck Wicks is going to be on there, too. And his partner is Julianne Hough!! Oh wait... I just read an article... turns out Julianne and Chuck were already dating before they decided he would be on the show. How cute! There are other couples as well.
