Whew! We've been living in Alpharetta now for a week and a half and things are going pretty well.

My job: currently a nanny for a wonderful family. I love them, they love me... it's really great. It's not full time though, so I'm looking into paid freelance writing. If anyone has any tips, let me know!

Josh's work: He's doing really well with his music. He played for Richie McDonald two weeks ago and there were 43,500 people there!! It was a large day-long Christian music festival. I think Josh is still pumped from it! He's also playing and/or leading worship for several churches around here and a few back in NC that he promised to do before we decided to move. When he's not playing or leading worship, he works for one of his friends who installs sound systems, as needed.

Overall, God's grace and blessing has been amazing here. We both left great jobs where we had steady paychecks coming in, and moved down here because Josh has felt this calling for some time now. We are living in a GREAT apartment with plenty of room. Most everything is unpacked and our animals have adjusted well.

The first night, everyone was unsettled. Poor Ellie (our kitten) wouldn't leave our closet because she was so confused!

On a different note, I'm really getting into politics, and Sarah Palin is an incredibly interesting person. I have to say, I think it's awesome that they didn't try to cover up Bristol's pregnancy (it was already well-known in their hometown), and they also confirmed that 20 years ago, her husband got a DUI. Let me make this straight-- I am NOT condoning either of these acts or saying "it's okay," but at least they're not lying about it or trying to cover it up. That's pretty awesome, to me.

I'm with you, Susan. I love the authenticity of her family. They certainly don't act quite like most politicians - at least, not yet!

I'm so glad to hear that you guys are settling in. We miss you, but we all know that you're where you should be!

Hey there! I'm so glad to hear from you! I was thinking about you today! I"m glad you guys are getting settled and everything!!

I would LOVE to work only 10 hours a week and still make what i make now. As it is, though I'm burning the candle at both ends, dying for some kind of creative outlet that I just never can find time for. So if you get the chance to do some freelance stuff, that's awesome!!

I'm so excited ya'll are going to Northpoint! How awesome! I'd love to visit there some day! Man, I'd love to go to a church and actually get fed, ya know?

How is your kitty adjusting?? Our boys took a good week or two before they settled down!
